About me
I am a postdoctoral researcher working in mathematics and theoretical computer science. I spent last year in Paris working with Valérie Berthé at the Institut de Recherche en Informatique Fondamentale. I am now in Prague working at the Czech Technical University with Štěpán Starosta. My main research interests are in symbolic dynamics, theoretical computer science (combinatorics on words, automata theory) and semigroup theory (in particular profinite semigroups). I am especially interested in the various connections between these areas. My work also has a strong experimental component, using software like SageMath and Python.
I did my bachelor and master's degree in mathematics at Université du Québec à Montréal. I completed a PhD in mathematics at the University of Coimbra in 2022, under the direction of Jorge Almeida and Alfredo Costa. My thesis, titled Schützenberger groups of minimal shift spaces, focuses on the links between symbolic dynamics, combinatorics on words and profinite semigroups.
